These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Star Satellite Internet website, and, together with your Service Agreement, your use of our setup, support, and negotiation services. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. What Star Satellite Internet Is — and Isn't
Star Satellite Internet is an independent service company. We are not Starlink, SpaceX, HughesNet, Viasat, or any other satellite or wireless internet provider, and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of them. All provider names and trademarks referenced on this website are the property of their respective owners and are used only to describe the providers we help customers work with.
We are an independent advisory and support service. We help customers compare providers, activate and troubleshoot satellite and wireless internet equipment, and negotiate pricing and billing issues directly with their provider. We do not build, own, or operate an internet network, and your monthly internet service is billed to you directly by your chosen provider — not by us.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using our website or services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms on your own behalf or on behalf of an organization you represent.
3. Description of Services
Star Satellite Internet provides provider comparison, setup and activation assistance, technical troubleshooting support, and billing negotiation services for satellite and wireless internet customers. Specific service scope, fees, and terms are set out in your Service Agreement and order confirmation, which are incorporated into these Terms by reference.
4. Website Use
- You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- You will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with website functionality, or use automated tools to scrape or overload our servers.
- All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Star Satellite Internet and protected by applicable intellectual property laws, as further described in our Copyright Notice.
6. Account Responsibilities
- You are responsible for maintaining accurate contact and billing information with us.
- You remain the account holder of record with your internet provider at all times; we act only as your authorized representative for the scope you approve.
- You are responsible for reviewing and approving any changes to your provider account before they are finalized.
7. Acceptable Use
Use of our services is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Violations may result in suspension or termination of services as described in that policy.
8. Fees, Billing, and Changes
Fees for our services are set out in your Service Agreement and order confirmation and are separate from any fees billed by your internet provider. We may adjust pricing for new engagements at any time; changes do not apply retroactively to services already rendered.
9. No Guarantee of Provider Performance
Because we do not operate the underlying internet network, we cannot guarantee the speed, uptime, pricing outcomes, or availability of any third-party provider. We commit to using good-faith, professional effort in our advisory, setup, and negotiation work.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Star Satellite Internet will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or services, including outcomes controlled by a third-party provider. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service engagement giving rise to the claim, except where prohibited by law.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our website and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, except as expressly stated in your Service Agreement or required by applicable law. See our Disclaimer page for further detail.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate services for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or as otherwise described in your Service Agreement and our Cancellation Policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website or services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
